INTRODUCTION

The Thirtieth Edition of The White Book will signify two simultaneous happenings.
A milestone reached of thirty years publishing data and information on all the ski areas in the US and Canada and it will also mark this as the final edition of The White Book. However, we have decided to prolong its demise over a two year period. In essence, it will act as a bi-annual issue for a singular period of time.
Our thanks to those ski areas that have included a Mountain Map. They have been our diehard supporters over these last thirty years and deserve your attention when choosing a place to ski. We would not have been able to make this book available at no charge without their support. It is our pleasure to again feature photos by Fred McKinney in the Home Page “Spotlight” and on many of the ski area text pages.
You may access the individual Home Page of each Mountain Map resort at several sites, or by just clicking on their logo. A click on any of the Mountain Maps will enlarge the photo. A second click will restore it to its original size. Ski areas that have not included a Mountain Map have chosen not to support us financially, but have updated their data.
Accessing The White Book pages is split-second easy. With a little practice you can flip from an Eastern ski area in the US to a Western area in Canada with only a couple of clicks. Use the navigation bar at the left side of the page to move back and forth between areas, states or regions in either the U.S. or Canada.
If you wish, you may also print out any ski area page by highlighting the entire page and copying it into Word, and then printing it out. Asterisks next to some ski areas indicate that the resort hasn't responded in several years, thus we've noted their lack of response. Smaller areas generally do not respond every year and that's understandable as even their rates remain constant from year to year.
At the top of each page is a small house icon that navigates you back to the Home Page where you will find “Spotlight: stories, a current weather link and, a variety of links to other ski information sources.
Our Mountain Map ski resorts, skiing-photographer Fred McKinney and White Book Editors all wish you a wonderful ski season.
