NEW THIS SEASON

New Terrain This season, look for new advanced terrain to open on “Marmot Peak”. “Murray’s Run” can be accessed by a short hike from the top of the Knob Chair, and will be sure to thrill those looking for stellar descents in this vast powder-filled bowl.

Marmot Basin has continued to open more terrain for skiers and riders each and every season throughout the past few years. The recent Eagle Ridge development at Marmot has made the epic glades of Chalet Slope and Eagle East lift-accessible, and has also created more new beginner and intermediate terrain on Chalet Slope.

“Outer Limits” and “Cornice” opened last winter for the first time ever delighting those looking for unique and adventurous run options. The super exciting fall lines and spectacular vistas from the summit of “Cornice” provided the perfect location for Warren Miller Entertainment to capture incredible footage of skiing and riding for their new feature length film released this fall. “Cornice” is accessed by a short hike from the top of the Eagle Ridge Quad Chair.

“Outer Limits” is accessed off the top of the Paradise Chair on Caribou Ridge and provides a backcountry ski experience within the controlled and patrolled ski area boundary. “Sugar Bowl” and “Birthday Bowl” also thrilled power hounds last season by expanding the upper slopes of Eagle East by nearly 40% and by offering even more fall line open-bowl skiing leading into the best adventure terrain on the mountain.

Marmot Basin continues to open more new terrain each season, thrilling accomplished skiers and riders and offering even more access to unbelievable scenery and stunning views of the surrounding peaks, mountain ranges & valleys.

New Lifts For kids and beginners, Marmot Basin offers a new Magic Carpet surface lift in our learning area at the base of the mountain. The new Magic Carpet transports skiers and snowboarders along the surface of the snow, allowing new skiers and rider to learn faster and have more fun during their first snow sliding experience.

The recently installed Eagle Ridge quad chair provides lift access to over 20 runs on the two mountain faces of Chalet Slope and Eagle East, and terrain for all abilities.

New Services With a million dollar renovation to our new Rental Shop and Guest Service floor, Marmot Basin offers a convenient area for all your ski & snowboard requirements. Rent the latest in Head/Tyrolia ski or snowboard equipment then book into a lesson at our new Ski School registration desk. Group leaders can check in at our new Group Sales counter while their group enjoys the convenience of picking up rental gear and heading straight out on the slopes. Be sure to grab a Starbucks coffee or tasty treat from our new cappuccino and snack shop upon arrival, or before heading home after a great day on the slopes.

New Shop The Outer Limits retail shop is Marmot Basin’s newest gear and clothing store. The Outer Limits offers a great selection of outerwear, base layers, hats, gloves, sunglasses, goggles and more! Be sure to pick up a souvenir from your ski holiday at Marmot!

New Groomer Marmot Basin has expanded the grooming fleet with a brand new Tower Winch Cat. The new winch cat will improve grooming on our steeper slopes for those who love long, groomed runs. The new groomer will also increase the amount of varied terrain and help stabilize the base layer of snow earlier in the season resulting in even better conditions throughout the winter months.

New ToysSnowbikes are the newest rage on the mountain. Full day or half day rentals available.

New Bus The new Jasper-Marmot Shuttle Bus offers the convenience of being picked up right from your hotel and driven to the mountain. The new shuttle bus picks up at Jasper hotels three times each morning, and departs Marmot Basin three times each afternoon for town. Leave your car in town and enjoy the scenery during the 20-minute trip up to Marmot Basin.
